Legislative Outlook: Where Are We Today? Where Are We Going? Ostrich Update!
Now that the dust has settled in the wake of the new RESPA Rule, let’s take a look at where the Rule is today as this living breathing Rule is being put into practice. During this session we’ll reflect on the title industry’s impact on shaping the Rule and how that can be applied to other legislation affecting our industry such as the CFPA.   We will discuss how being aware of what’s in the “pipeline” as far as regulation changes and pending legislation gives you an advantage that you can capitalize on in order to build your business. Those who were at the forefront of understanding and implementing the November, 2008 RESPA Rule have infinitely more credibility in the marketplace. Realtors, lenders, and other business partners are seeing the title insurance industry in a new light; this translates into trust, the hallmark of relationship building. What other legislation affects our industry and where is it in the process? What are the politics involved? Can you have an impact? Calling All Ostriches – how keeping your head out of the sand keeps you ahead of the game!

Join Alison Kaspar Gareffa, Vice President of Kasparnet, former Capitol Hill staffer and current member of ALTA’s Government Affairs Committee and RESPA Implementation Task Force for this and more, including a legislative update on the heels of ALTA’s Federal Conference.

~  What if your title company could eliminate all in-bound and out-bound emails and faxes - even eliminate
unecessary phone callas and courier fees?
~  What if you didn't have to rekey any data?
~  What if you, your lenders and service providers could send all documentation across a secure digital
